Crown of Dharamshala, Triund is a must-visit place whenever in the region. Known as the beginner’s trek, it attracts tourists from all around the globe. The view from here is breathtaking. The trek can be done by any fit person. You can take up a tent there to stay back or you can also get down the same day. Make sure to carry your eateries but also make sure to carry a garbage bag with you.

How to reach Dharamshala
Dharamshala is at a distance of 470km from Delhi and it takes around 12-13 hours to reach there. It can be reached by road or by air too.The most convenient way will be to either take a bus or drive your own vehicle.
By Bus: there are n number of buses directly between delhi-dharamshala. From ordinary buses to volvo if you will get a bus according to your budget.HRTC buses are also available.these can be booked through online and offline as well.Boarding point for many buses are Kashmere Gate or Majnu ka tila.
By Train:The nearest railway station is Pathankot which is at a distance of 86kms from there tourists can take up cab even shared ones to reach Dharamshala and Mcleodganj as well.
By Air:The nearest airport is Gaggal airport also known as Kangra Airport, located at a distance of 15km. Flights are easily available from delhi IGI airport.
Places to visit in Dharamshala
Mall Road Mcleodganj: a place to dive into tibetan vibes. A place to buy, to eat, to capture memories and to cherish the variety of culture, that’s Mall Road of Mcleodganj. You will find some of the best momos of town here and also do not miss to eat Chole samosa from a local shop.
Bhagsu Waterfalls: Bhagsu waterfall is one of the most serene places in dharamshala. A short hike will lead you to the waterfall,and you will be amazed to see the blue crystal clear water there. No tourists miss this beautiful place on their visit to Dharamshala.
Naddi: Known for sunrise and sunset. It is a quaint village with the most picturesque view. Snow covered Dhauladhar ranges are easily visible from here and when you get tired from clicking pictures of this serene place you can have some delicious food in the cafes of this place.
Dal Lake: one of the most beautiful places in the region, Dal Lake is a prime tourist spot. Surrounded with coniferous deodar trees, this place is known for boating and picnic by locals and tourists.
Dalai Lama Temple: It is the largest monastery in India with 2oo monks residing in it. This place is the best if you are looking for peace. This place is so beautiful that you cannot afford to miss this. It is a must visit place in Dharamshala.
St, John Church: placed between the lush green trees and peace, this church attracts a lot of tourists for its structure.

Dharamsala War Memorial: Dedicated to the martyrs of Kangra who lost their lives during the Indo-China War that occurred in 1947, 1962, 1965, 1971 and UN Peace Operations. The spot is encircled by pine trees and you can likewise visit the close by cafe for food and drinks.
HPCA Dharamshala Cricket Stadium: Dharamshala Cricket Stadium welcomes visitors from all over. This beautiful stadium is cuddled in the midst of the snowy himalayn peaks, and its structure is what attracts most.
Kangra Art Museum: Kangra Art Museum is a wonderful center point that shows the antiques of Tibetan and Buddhist culture, going back to numerous hundreds of years. Because of its legacy esteem, it is quite possibly the most well-known spots to visit in Dharamshala. It was built in 1990 and is currently considered as one of the not-to-miss places in Dharamshala.
Gyuto Tantric Monastery: This beautiful monastery is a research spot of buddhists.it was built to honour the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in India-Tibet war. The monastery’s complex and decor is very unique and beautiful.
Kangra Fort: Witness spectacular history and great legacy at Kangra Fort, which is one of the mainstream spots in Dharamshala. It is an antiquated construction going back to the fourth century BC. One of the oldest in India and the biggest stronghold in the Himalayas, this imperial example of design was home of the Royal group of the Kangra – Katoch Dynasty.

Khajjiar: Popularly known as “Mini Switzerland of India” Khajjiar gives a combination of tall green trees, mountains and a lake to the visitors. It is famous for paragliding, to click pictures with rabbits and birds or just to sit around to enjoy nature. You will find a great variety of food here which is good in taste and on pocket too.
Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary: Famous for the trekking trail and flora and fauna. Kalatop wildlife sanctuary is one of the most beautiful and visited places in the region. Here you can easily spot leopard, bear, deer, langur, jackal etc.
DainKund: being the highest peak of Dalhousie it offers bird eye view of the valley. A trek of 2km will take you up to this beautiful top. There is also a temple at the end of the trek. You can surely have a plate of maggi when reached at top.
St. John Church: It is an old church with historical importance since Britishers. It is most visited by locals and tourists. The church is settled between lush green trees.
Chamera Dam: a man-made lake in the region for Chamba dam. It is a popular spot for picnics and boating. Located at a distance of 30kms from Dalhousie this place is serene and offers peace to the tourists.
St. Patrick Church: a 104 years old church, at a distance of just 2km from Dalhousie should not be missed at any cost. This beautiful place is the photographer’s favourite spot in the area.
Activities to do in Dalhousie
Paragliding: one of the most fun and thrilling activities to do in Dalhousie. Paragliding can be experienced in Khajjiar and it will cost around 1500-2000, depending on the flight timing. It may create a hole in your pocket but if you’re an adventure lover you won’t regret it.
Horse Riding: one of the most relaxed and budget friendly activities to do in Dalhousie is Horse riding. It can be done for 300-400 INR at various locations.
Boating: Boating is most fun in Chamera Lake. a lil expensive but the view will be totally worth it. You can totally enjoy the sunset from here while boating.
Camping:whenever in mountains, you should always try to do camping. The starry nights which we can never witness in city life will create a best memory in mountains. You can contact local travel agents to arrange a camp for you.

Paragliding: it’s everyone’s favourite activity to do in mountains and dharamshala can give you a lifetime beautiful memory of it. You can do paragliding at various locations for around 1500-2500. The price may vary during the season.

Dham: usually cooked on firewood, this is a staple food of himachal. It usually consists of 5 food items.people generally consume it for lunch. It is full of taste and protein as well.
Momo: Momos has become the lifeline of every mountain destination. Whether it’s fried or steamed,veg or non-veg, you’ll find it across every street.
Thukpa: it’s basically a Tibetan dish but very popular in Himachal pradesh. It’s a spicy noodle soup with almost every vegetable in it. Once a try is a must.
