• Kindly Note, Spiti Packages and Group Departures are Not Valid for – Bangladesh, Pakistan & Chinese Citizens.
• All Sightseeing totally depends upon Weather, Road Conditions, and Time management of Guests. Sightseeing Can be Shifted to Other Days or can be missed, Totally Depending upon the Road conditions and time management of Guests.
• Kindly Note – In Group Departure for all Guests – There will be only One Pickup Point and One Drop Point. All Guests have to report to the Pickup Point to board the vehicle. Same with Drop Point, We will drop off all guests at one point only.
• If you want to be a part of the fixed departure group but do not wish to share the car with others and want the car dedicated exclusively to you / your group, please let us know and we’ll let you know the revised price for the same.
• Accommodation will be provided on a Double/Triple/Quad Sharing basis as per the number of guests and as per the Package Chosen from Guest Side. But Kindly Note – Single/Double sharing stay is not possible in Winters in Kaza (Lidang) & Tabo for Groups. Travellers who are travelling will accommodate in Triple/Quad Sharing stay only with other co-travellers, Depending upon availability.
• Vehicle Provided as per the Group Size and availability only. If Group members are 0-3 then 01 Non-AC Sedan (Dzire/Etios/Similar) – will be provided. If Group members are 4-6/OR/7 then 01 Non-AC SUV (Ertiga/Xylo/Innova/Scorpio/Similar) – will be provided. If Group members are more than 07, Then 01 Non-AC (Tempo Traveler/Similar) – will be Provided. The final Decision for the Vehicle is always on Spiti Expedition Team and Guests have to agree on the Same. For Till 7 Persons we can Provide either a NON-AC SUV OR NON-AC Tempo Traveler as per the Possibilities.
• Group Departure will be processed if the Minimum Number of Persons is 3 for Group Departure. If persons are below 3 for any group departure then we reserve the Right to Terminate or Cancel the Group Departure Anytime without Any Prior Notice.
• For Group Departures Vouchers and Final Confirmation of Stays will be Given 3 Days Prior to the Trip Start Date.
• During the Trip, our Driver (Also Consider as the Tour Captain) will Handle the Complete Tour from the Starting to the End.
• For the Complete Trip – From the Starting till the end, For Guest Safety, Security, Sightseeing, Etc. The Final decision is always from the Uncia Trails/Driver side and all guests have to agree with that.
• A separate Travel Guide and Tour Captain will not be provided for the Group Departure.
• Only common washrooms are available. You will not get an attached washroom during the winter season due to cold weather conditions.
• This Spiti Valley tour can be customized as per your dates, group size, and requirements and be arranged as a private tour.
• Accommodation here will be on a double-sharing basis. If you are a solo traveller, the cost will stay the same but you will be sharing the room with another solo traveller of the same gender.
• If you are looking for a single room at all place, do let us know and we’ll help you with the revised cost.
• In Winters Spiti Fully Covered with heavy Snow. Only limited Accommodation facilities available with Eco Friendly Dry common toilets & washrooms are available. As in winter Water Freezed. Electricity and Water problem is common in Kinnaur and Spiti in Winters.
• Kindly Note Gue Mummy Sightseeing totally depends upon the road conditions. If at the time of travel is not possible for the vehicle to cover the same, Then for the Guests’ safety we will not cover the same Sightseeing.
• In case Roads are blocked and the further journey is not possible then we will take the best possible decision for the Guest’s Safety and the guest have to agree to the same.
• Kindly note at the time of Travel if Route will get closed or is in bad condition then will take the alternative route with an alternate Stay for the Guest’s safety but for that Supplement cost will be applicable which has to be bear by the Guests directly.
• All Guests have to Report to the Meeting Point on Time, If Any Guest got delayed then we reserve the Right to Move the Vehicle and Guests have to reach their own at the Next Stop Point.
• Meals (Breakfast & Dinner) will be provided in Stays only. No Meals can be packed.
• The sequence of the day-wise itinerary for the Spiti winter expedition may change depending on traffic schedules/restrictions on some roads and other unforeseen events.
• If there is an unprecedented hike in the cost of transport (including fuel surcharge) or accommodation, it will affect the price.
• Any kind of refund is not possible for any unused services.
• If the vehicle is deteriorating, it will take some time to fix. Until then, you will have to wait for the next update. Some time will need 05-06 hours to fix.
• Please don’t use Single-use plastic bottles in Spiti, Carry Hard Steel water bottles for the trip.
• Due to Cold and Low Temperatures, Electricity and Running water facilities would not be available in Spiti and Sometimes in Kinnaur as well.
• Sometimes Luggage Assistance is not possible in Kinnaur and Spiti in Winter due to the unavailability of Staff. Guests have to prepare to Carry their own luggage.
• We shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary for the Spiti winter expedition due to landslides, flight cancellations, weather conditions, or any unforeseen events. The additional cost incurred will be in addition to the package price.
• Spiti is a Destination that is totally offbeat and growing nowadays. So you will not get any luxury stay at this type of place. It’s a place for experience and exploration.
• Guests shall be liable to pay for any damages, except normal wear and tear to an asset if any.

• We will not pay, reimburse, cover losses or take any responsibility for any activity which is due to circumstances beyond our control. When we say circumstances beyond our control, it means any event which we cannot avoid even after taking all the necessary precautions. Such events include but are not limited to airport closures, war, natural disasters, nuclear disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism, illness, death, injury, burglary, and bad weather.
• The trip will start only after the payment of the full amount. Make sure you make all the arrangements beforehand.
• To reach your homestay/hotel, you have to do a small trek of 10 to 15 minutes.
• Spiti is a small and beautiful valley in a remote location. Don’t compare its hospitality and services with other hotels in the main tourist locations.
• If the mentioned hotel is not available, we may shift you to another similar hotel. In case the mentioned property is not available at the time due to peak season time then we assure you that you will get the same category and same quality of the property on the basis of availability.
• Check-in/check-out time at all the properties will be at 1200 hrs (Noon). Some properties may not allow early check-in.
• Buffet Service will be available from 8:00 am to 9:30 am and 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
• You will get hot water in for a few hours in the morning. Kindly ask the receptionist about the times in advance.
• Room heaters are available at the hotel for an extra cost.
• Triple Sharing does not necessarily mean Three Separate Beds. It can have one double bed and one rollaway bed. 
• The vehicle will be provided as per the itinerary, any additional sightseeing not mentioned in the Itinerary will be charged extra.
• No refund or compensation for any unused services/transportation in any circumstance.
• Visits to museums/parks/monasteries/forts in the tour are subject to their opening on the day of the visit as per the rules of the competent authority.
• We will not wear any cost for flights cancelled or delayed due to any reason.
• There will be no compensation if you are delayed due to roadblocks, natural calamities, or personal reasons. The alternate accommodation cost due to the same should be borne by you.
• No changes in the date of the tour once booked. However, you can postpone the tour if it gets cancelled due to natural calamities, government restrictions, pandemics, riots, or war.
• This Group Departure is in Collaboration with Spiti Expedition. For all our group Departures we have collaborated with multiple Travel Companies.
• Rates are subject to change until you haven’t paid the full amount.
• Room allotment will be as per the availability at the time of check-in, floor or view preferences are not guaranteed.
• All expenses not included in the cost of the package shall be paid directly at the time of checkout.
• Smoking or drinking is not allowed inside the vehicle.
• You are advised to take insurance before starting the tour.

• 30 days or more: 90% of the total Package Cost is refundable
• 21-30 days: 75% of the total Package Cost is refundable
• 11-20 days: 50% of the total Package Cost is refundable
• Less than 10 days: No refund

If Due for Any Reason, Any Guest is unable to Join the Group and wants to Shift the Seats on another Date, Then we will do the same but Amendment Charges of INR 2500/- are to be paid Extra. Guests have to Inform us the same 07 Days Prior to Starting the Group Departure. If the Guest’s Informed between 07 Days Starting the Group Departure then the Amendment will not be possible. Guest can Shift the Seats in 2022-23 Group Departures only. In That case, the Complete Amount is NON-REFUNDABLE.

• All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants, etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well-being.
• All complaints, suits, claims, or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by The Spiti Expedition, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Spiti Valley.
• Any alteration or cancellation of services after your holiday has commenced can incur penalties. There is no refund for unused services.
• We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, Health Sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
• We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
• During Travel if the route is closed due to any reason and we have to shift the travel route and itinerary for guest safety, Supplement costs will be applicable for the same which has to be bear by the guests directly.
• Also note Uncia Trails reserves the right to Stop, Terminate or Cancel the tour at any time if the guests didn’t clear the balance payments before or till on the day of arrival.
• We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accidents, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

We cannot pay any compensation, reimburse expenses, cover losses for any amount, or otherwise accept responsibility if as a result of circumstances beyond our control, we have to change your tour after booking, or we cannot supply your tour, as we had agreed, or you suffer any loss or damage of any description. When we refer to circumstances beyond our control, we mean any event that we could not foresee or avoid, even after taking all reasonable care. Such circumstances will usually include but are not limited to, war, the threat of war, airport closures, epidemics, natural or nuclear disasters, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial dispute, and bad weather.

Introduction: Spiti means “middle land” The land between Tibet and India. Spiti valley Expedition includes mainly the valley of the Spiti river. It is located in the Northeast part of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti is surrounded by Ladakh, Tibet, Lahaul, and Kinnaur. Spiti valley Expedition has a cold desert environment. You can travel via air, train or road. The summer months of March-June are considered to be the best to visit Spiti not only due to the pleasant weather but also fewer crowds. For that perfect winter vacation, the months of October-February are the best time to visit Spiti. Spiti valley Expedition is famous for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. Tabo monastery is one of the most prominent attractions in Spiti. The monasteries in Spiti are renowned for spectacular murals, ancient temples, and several stupas.

How to reach Spiti Valley
By Air: Kullu Airport at Kullu is the nearest airport. One can get on a taxi or rickshaw from the airport to reach the destination.

By Road: There is no access to the airport and railway in Spiti Valley Expedition, it can only be reached by medium roads. The roads in Spiti Valley Expedition are almost open throughout the year. In any case, one can check the route as some of the roads are closed for 6 months in the Spiti Valley Expedition.

By Train: The nearest station to the Spiti Valley Expedition is Shimla. One can hire cabs and Jeeps to reach the destination of the Spiti Valley Expedition. Buses are also available to reach Spiti Valley Expedition.

Places to visit during the Spiti Winter Expedition

Chandratal lake:
Chandra Tal is a lake in the Lahaul part of the Lahaul and Spiti valley district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Chandra Taal is near the source of the Chandra River. It is a favorite spot for tourists and trekkers to visit. Popularly known as the trekker’s paradise. It is usually connected with Spiti valley, but it is a part of Lahaul geographically. Chandratal offers the most impressive views of the Spiti valley region. In the winter months, this place majorly remains on the bucket list of adventure enthusiasts who want to push past their limits. For Himalayas lovers, a trip to Chandratal Lake is a must as the magical morning reflection of the surrounding mountains in the lake is something extraordinary.

Key monastery:
It is the largest monastery of the Spiti Valley Expedition and a religious training centre for lamas. Kye monastery has a collection of ancient murals and books, including Buddha images. The ground floor has a beautifully decorated Assembly Hall and cells for many monks. Key Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Gelugpa sect located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 meters above sea level, close to the Spiti river, in the Spiti Valley Expedition of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti district, India.

Kunzum Pass:
Motorbiking enthusiasts are very much familiar with this majestic gateway that leads to Lahaul and Spiti valleys. Kunzum Pass or Kunzum La is one of India’s highest motorable mountain passes located in Himachal Pradesh in North India. Many bikers visit this spot to experience the most thrilling ride through the spectacular gateway of Kunzum Pass. The visitors often take a round of this temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga and visit Chandratal Lake.

Pin valley National Park:
A National park of India located in the Spiti Valley Expedition in the Lahaul and Spiti district, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is part of a cold desert. Pin valley National park is located in the desert natural element of the Spiti Valley Expedition. India’s highest cold valley National Park, this place was built to preserve the unique natural flora and fauna of Himachal Pradesh and is named after the gorgeous Pin River, and acts as an interface between the Lahaul and Spiti Valley Expedition.

Suraj Tal lake:
Suraj Tal lake is also called Tso Kamtsi or Surya Tal. It passes by Lahaul and Spiti Valley Expedition. Suraj Tal Lake is just below the source of the Bhaga River that joins the Chandra River downstream at Tandi to form the Chandrabhaga River in Himachal Pradesh. Lahaul Spiti valley Expedition is a common destination for Indians and foreigners tourism for road trips, trekking, and motorcycling activities to perform theirs.

Dhankar Monastery:
Dhankar Gompa also Dankhar, Drangkhar, or Dhangkar Gompa is a village and also a Gompa, a Buddhist temple in the district of Lahaul and Spiti valley Expedition in India. Spiti Valley Expedition above Dhankar Village, located between the towns of Kaza and Tabo.

Tabo Monastery:
Tabo Monastery is located in the Tabo village of Spiti Valley Expedition. Tabo Monastery is noted for being the oldest continuously operating Buddhist in both India and the Himalayas. The Tabo Monastery has been built like a fort with strong walls of it. Daily worship starts in this temple with chantings at 6 AM and it is been performed by the lamas who live in the new temple complex. Many festivals are held in the area of the Tabo Monastery. It would be the best place to visit in the Spiti Valley Expedition.

Kibber:
Kibber is also known as Kibber Khas and Khyipur, this is a village of high in the Spiti Valley Expedition in the Himalayas. It contains a monastery and is a base for visiting the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary. Kibber is the last village in the Spiti valley Expedition on the traditional trade route through Ladakh and Tibet. The Traders would come from Tibet, Ladakh, Chamba, and Kullu to barter their wares for exchanging the commodities. The Farmers of Kibber are able to grow crops during the summer because it would the best season for them to grow their agriculture sector in Kibber.

City Shopping:
The market area in the town of Kaza is the best place to shop in the entire valley. The shops sell typical Tibetan and Buddhist handicrafts which include prayer flags, bowls, and wheels as well as Buddha statues. A couple of shops also sell Spiti t-shirts which make ideal souvenirs. Spiti valley expedition, items like Tibetan artifacts, woolens, clothing, woodwork, paintings, jewelry, and food items will take precedence but these are only the tip of the iceberg. Trilokinath Temple:
Trilokinath is one of the names of the Hindu god, Shiva, meaning the “Leader of the Trinity”. but local tradition clearly states that it was originally a Buddhist vihara or monastery, although nothing remains of the original building. A popular story says that a Kulu Raja reached Trilokinath and tried to carry off the idol, but was defeated in the attempt, as the stone became too heavy to move. There is a mark on the right leg of the marble figure, which is said to have resulted from a sword blow by a Kullu soldier of the time. A silver idol of Kali as Mahishasurmardini was installed by Thakur Himpala in 1959-60.

Shashur Monastery:
Shashur or Sashur Monastery is a Buddhist monastery of the Drugpa sect in the Lahaul and Spiti Valley expedition, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. It is located 137 kilometers from Manali. Sha-shur means “blue pines” in the local dialect, as patches of blue pine can be seen around the monastery.[1] A smaller gompa had existed previous to the current building. In the month of June or July Chham is performed in the monastery. Shahshur monastery is related to the Gelukpa order or red hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery was founded by the Lama Dewa Tyatsho hailing from Ladakh in the 16th century but its construction was stopped after a while. Later, the construction of the monastery was restarted by Lama Dewa Gyatsho in the 17th century. It is also believed that Dewa Gyatsho stayed in the monastery till his death.

The Guru Ghantal Monastery:
The Mighty Guru Ghantal Monastery is the most popular destination for travelers in the Lahaul region. Surrounded by mountains and rolling sand dunes, the monastery spells magic. It is deemed to be the oldest monastery in the Lahaul region. Legends say that the monastery was established by Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century CE. In the year 1857, historians discovered a copper goblet which is the oldest example of metalwork from the 1st century. The latter instance depicted that the Buddhist civilization was pretty advanced at that time as well. Perched at an elevation of 3160 m on the rocky cliffs of Tupchiling village, the mighty monastery is close to the point where there is a confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga Rivers. Gondola Monastery is about 18 kilometers before Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti Valley expedition district, Himachal Pradesh, India on the road from Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It is located on a hill above Tupchiling Village at the sacred junction of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers, which together form the Chandrabhaga or Chenab Rivers.

Tayul Monastery:
Tayul monastery namely Tayul Gompa is assumed as the oldest monastery in the Northern region. The monastery is standing tall in the midst of the mighty mountains. It is located at an elevation of 3900 m above sea level in the Bhaga Valley of Lahaul and Spiti. Satingri village is home to the Tayul Gompa which can be reached by a steep footpath from Upper Keylong. There is an enormous collection of 101 Buddhist scriptures, of the “Kangyur” in the library of Tayul monastery. The library also has “Thangkas” which depict the life of Buddha. Multiple things are there to explore in Tayul Monastery. Embark on a short trip to Tayul monastery and catch a slice of the finest Buddhist sculptures and artworks. Tayul Monastery or Tayul Gompa is a Buddhist monastery in the Bhaga Valley of Lahul and Spiti Valley expedition, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. Gue:
Gue is a village in the Lahul & Spiti Valley expedition district of the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. In this little village lays the perfectly well-preserved 500-year-old mummy of Sangha Tenzing. It was a Buddhist monk from Tibet. It was found in a sitting position, with his skin and hair intact. The village is about 40 km from the Tabo Monastery. Latitude 31.11 and longitude 77.16 are the geocoordinates of the Gue. Current Gue is controlled by India but claimed by Zanda County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, China. High in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul & Spiti Valley expedition district lies a surprising secret. A 500-year-old mummy with its teeth intact. Located in the village of Gue, it is said to be the mummy of a Buddhist monk named Sangha Tenzin and is one of the most astonishing things you will ever see.

Kungri Monastery:
Kungri Monastery is a Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism in the Pin Valley in the Lahul and Spiti Valley expedition, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. Kungri is Spiti’s valley expedition’s second oldest monastery, built around 1330. The gompa consists of three detached rectangular blocks facing east. Tashigang:

Sarchu:
Sarchu is a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh in India. It is situated between Baralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 4,201 m.

SARCHU TOURISM:
An important stopover on the Leh–Manali highway, Sarchu lies on the boundary of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an elevation of just over 14,500 ft between the Himalayan mountain passes of Baralacha La and Lachlung La, Sarchu is of great importance mainly due to its location on the Leh-Manali highway.
Sarchu, also known as Sir Bhum Chun, closely resembles Ladakh with its barren splendor and is a beehive of activity between May and September when the snow melts and the Leh-Manali highway is open for traffic. An important trading point in the ancient Silk Route, Sarchu is still a hot favorite with traders, nomadic tribes, and adventure seekers.
Between May and September, Sarchu becomes the starting point for treks to Zanskar in Ladakh. A trip to Sarchu has its own challenges; altitude sickness being the foremost among them. Travelers often ascend from lower altitudes to acclimatize to the rarefied atmosphere; traveling from Keylong and traveling up to Sarchu is the preferred route.
