Dhungri Van Vihar, a wildlife sanctuary beside the Hidimba temple, is the perfect place to admire nature’s beauty. This place has its roots in Mahabharat; as they say, Hidimba, the wife of Bhim, used to bathe here in a pond.
Jogini Waterfall: Jogini Falls is a stunning waterfall located 4 km from Vashisht Temple and 7.5 km from Manali Bus Stand. Cascading from about 150 feet, it forms a small pool at the base where visitors can swim. The falls, accessible via a 3-hour trek from Vashisht Temple, are best visited outside the monsoon season. A sacred Jogini Mata temple at the base adds to the site’s charm. The trek offers beautiful views of local scenery and village life.
Vashisht Temple: The temple on a hill offers a peaceful atmosphere and features a bathing pond behind it. After exploring the temple, a 30-minute trek will lead you to Jogini Waterfall. For a complete view of the waterfall, continue trekking for another 20 minutes and climb the mountains.
Manikaran: Located in the Parvati Valley, it is an essential site for Hindu and Sikh pilgrims. Manikaran is also known for its hot springs, where it is said that bathing in them can cure diseases.
