Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Sari Village.

Dist: 190 km | Time:7 to 8 hours | Altitude:6,600 ft
Your journey begins with a scenic 7 to 8 hour drive from Haridwar or Rishikesh to Sari Village, the base camp of the Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila trek. The 190 km route follows the Ganga through river valleys, forests, and peaceful Himalayan villages. By evening, you reach Sari at 6600 feet, a quiet village with terraced fields and mountain views.

Day 2: Sari to Deoriatal Lake

Dist: 3 km | Time: 2 to 3 hours | Altitude: 7,800 ft
The trek from Sari Village to Deoriatal is a short but steep 3-kilometre walk through oak and rhododendron forests. As you climb, the trees open to the calm Deoriatal Lake at 7800 feet, reflecting snow-covered peaks. The route offers fresh air, birds, and colourful plants. At the lake, you can relax, enjoy the views, and watch the evening light on the water.

Day 3: Deoriatal to Baniyakund via Rohini Bugyal.

Distance: 16 km| Time:7 - 8 hours| Altitude: 8,700 ft
The trek from Deoriatal to Baniyakund via Rohini Bugyal covers about 16 kilometres and takes 7 to 8 hours. The trail moves through forests, streams, and wide green meadows. Rohini Bugyal offers open views of the Himalayan peaks and colourful alpine plants. By evening, you reach the quiet campsite of Baniyakund at 8700 feet, a peaceful place to rest and enjoy the scenery.

Day 4: Baniyakund to Chopta and Trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila

Trek Dist: 1.5 km to | Time: 6 to 7 hrs |Altitude: 12,073 ft to 13,100 ft
Today, you drive from Baniyakund to Chopta and begin the trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The walk is steep and rocky, passing through forests, meadows, and wide mountain views. You first reach Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, surrounded by stunning Himalayan scenery. Then you climb to Chandrashila Peak for a full 360 degree view of snowy mountains. After enjoying the sunrise or sunset, you return to Chopta feeling proud and fulfilled.

Day 5: Departure from Chopta

Dist: 190 km | Time: 7 to 8 hours
On the final day, you leave the calm and beautiful landscapes of Chopta and drive back to Haridwar or Rishikesh. The 190 kilometre journey takes you through valleys, rivers, and views of the Garhwal Himalayas. It gives you time to think about the trek and its highlights. By evening, you reach your drop point with memories of meadows, temples, and stunning mountain views.

  • Emergency Assistance: Support will be provided in case of emergencies like natural disasters or unexpected events, but related costs will be borne by the participant.
  • Trekking & Travel Duration: The mentioned trekking and driving times are estimates and may vary depending on halts, trail conditions, and weather
  • Personal Valuables: Refrain from carrying expensive personal items. Safe storage or lockers are not guaranteed during the trek.

  • Get Fit: Begin cardio and strength training a few weeks before the trek.
  • Acclimatise: Ascend slowly, take breaks, and stay hydrated.

  • Respect Nature: Don’t litter—carry back all waste.
  • Be Weather Ready: Pack layers and gear for sudden weather changes.
  • Stay Together: Trek in a group and follow your guide.
  • Be Prepared: Carry a first aid kit and know basic emergency steps.
  • Know Your Limits: Rest when needed—don’t push too hard.

  • Natural Calamities & Unforeseen Events: The Mountain Trekker will not be held responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries, or mishaps arising due to natural calamities, sudden weather changes, transport failures, strikes, theft, or government-imposed restrictions
  • Additional Expenses: Any extra costs incurred due to such situations (e.g., extra stay, alternate transport) will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
  • Personal Belongings: We are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items during the trek or travel.

We understand that plans can change, but the booking amount is non-refundable due to the costs we incur in preparing for your tour or activity. If you wish to reschedule for a different date, we'll adjust it to the same package, providing you with the necessary flexibility. If you have paid the total amount but cancelled the package. You will be provided with a refund as mentioned below:

  • 30 Days or More: 50% of the total amount is refundable.
  • 15 to 29 Days: 25% of the total amount is refundable.
  • 0 to 14 Days: No Refunds.

Tours or activities may be cancelled due to unforeseen events beyond our control, such as weather conditions, heavy rain or storms, or government restrictions like sudden closures of specific areas. In such a scenario, we will provide an alternate tour or activity. However, no refunds will be provided.
