Your journey begins with a scenic 7 to 8 hour drive from Haridwar or Rishikesh to Sari Village, the base camp of the Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila trek. The 190 km route follows the Ganga through river valleys, forests, and peaceful Himalayan villages. By evening, you reach Sari at 6600 feet, a quiet village with terraced fields and mountain views.

The trek from Sari Village to Deoriatal is a short but steep 3-kilometre walk through oak and rhododendron forests. As you climb, the trees open to the calm Deoriatal Lake at 7800 feet, reflecting snow-covered peaks. The route offers fresh air, birds, and colourful plants. At the lake, you can relax, enjoy the views, and watch the evening light on the water.

Distance: 16 km| Time:7 - 8 hours| Altitude: 8,700 ft
The trek from Deoriatal to Baniyakund via Rohini Bugyal covers about 16 kilometres and takes 7 to 8 hours. The trail moves through forests, streams, and wide green meadows. Rohini Bugyal offers open views of the Himalayan peaks and colourful alpine plants. By evening, you reach the quiet campsite of Baniyakund at 8700 feet, a peaceful place to rest and enjoy the scenery.

Trek Dist: 1.5 km to | Time: 6 to 7 hrs |Altitude: 12,073 ft to 13,100 ft
Today, you drive from Baniyakund to Chopta and begin the trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The walk is steep and rocky, passing through forests, meadows, and wide mountain views. You first reach Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, surrounded by stunning Himalayan scenery. Then you climb to Chandrashila Peak for a full 360 degree view of snowy mountains. After enjoying the sunrise or sunset, you return to Chopta feeling proud and fulfilled.

On the final day, you leave the calm and beautiful landscapes of Chopta and drive back to Haridwar or Rishikesh. By evening, you reach your drop point with memories of meadows, temples, and stunning mountain views.
