Mcleodganj, also known as little Lhasa (situated at an elevation of 2,082 meters) is a magnificent hill station or a town which is located in the outskirts of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.it is the home of Dalai Lama(spiritual leader of Tibetans). Namgyal monastery, which is the largest Tibetan temple is a major crowd pleasure in Mcleodganj. It is believed that spiritual leader(god) of Tibetans –Dalai Lama used to reside here. This temple laid its foundation in the 11th century by the second Dalai Lama. The ambience and aura that the temple creates, is enough to dazzle and enthral a person with its holiness. You can find patriarch monk to tiny toads enchanting prayers and blowing horns in a rhythm.
Another picturesque and famous picnic spot in Mcleodganj is Dal Lake, named after the well-known and one of the incredible lakes in India, Srinagar’s Dal Lake.
